The works of African American artists and photographers are being catalogued, examined, and analyzed on CD-ROM, websites, and DVD's.

Their works make it clear that their understanding of "blackness" and identity were quite different from the sterotypes of their times. Resources that help us understand these visual artists, and their contributions to the African American legacy of struggle and survival, will be the focus of the evening's discussion.
