Donna Thompson Ray is the co-director of Education and Director of New Media Education at the American Social History Project/Center for Media and Learning.

Ms. Thompson Ray has fifteen years of experience working with interdisciplinary humanities and intercultural learning educators in the USA and abroad.

She directs the Making Connections American Studies Program for New York City public school teachers, established in 1989, as well as the National Endowment for the Humanities funded New Media Classroom Teaching with Technology program, found on ten new media and pedagogy centers across the nation. Ms. Thompson Ray teaches the African American art survey course and writes about black art and photography.
