Gloria Harper Dickinson, Ph.D., is chair and Associate Professor of African-American Studies at The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey.Her areas of expertise include New Media Technology pedagogies and applications for humanities instruction, and Africana: women, literature, religion, & popular culture.

Dickinson was 2000-2003 National President of The Association for the Study of African American Life & History ; a member of the American Studies Association Crossroads Advisory Board; a member of the National Council for Black Studies Board of Directors ; an Independent Researcher in the Georgetown University Visible Knowledge Project ; and a member of the New Media Classroom (NMC) national faculty whom she serves as HBCU "Learning to Look" liaison at Spelman College and Dillard University.
