whose online community has created a global network of persons of color of German descent who are involved in historical and genealogical research and study. During and after College Rosemarie worked as a Social Worker and Supervisor of Counselors in various state and county agencies in South Jersey and Philadelphia . She also became certified as a Paralegal in Human Resources and Pension Administration. In the mid 1980's Rosemarie became interested in graphic design and computer networks. While working simultaneously on network engineer certifications for both Novell and Microsoft Systems, she established her first business, Graphic Hearts. Her success in these efforts were the foundation for her current business and non profit organization, I-Pavilion, LLC. and I-Pavilion Institute, Inc. Her dual interests in bridging the “digital divide” for persons of color and using technology to better conditions for people of African descent have been central to her business and community service. Her memberships include the Graphic Artists Guild, International Webmaster's Association and the Association of Internet Researchers. In addition to her work with her own non-profit, Ms Pena is also on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Camden & Gloucester Counties and is the Director of Christian Education at Wesley A. M. E. Zion Church , Burlington , NJ . A mother of two TCNJ college students, Rosemarie is Fluent in Spanish & Conversational French. She has recently begun working to re-learn German and is studying Portraiture and Painting as a member of the Center for the Arts in South Jersey in Marlton NJ where she now resides with her children. |
